Abstrakt:	The article presents a discussion on the minimum breaking strength of textile yarns and an assessment of its irregularity. It states that the minimum strength of a yarn is related to the average strength and the irregularity of the strength. It also presents the relationship between breaks per unit length and breaking strength distribution. It also presents the equation in determining the strength characteristics of the yarn which depend on the rate of application of the load. It also presents an assessment on the suitability of the yarn for unwinding under tension.
