Abstrakt: The article presents a discussion on the wool trade in Turkey to determine the physical properties of Turkish wools from the processing and manufacturing aspect and to apply the properties in a wool improvement program. It also presents the sheep population of Anatolia by breeds which include the Karaman breed, the Kivircik breed, the Daglic breed, and the Pirlak breed. It also presents a statistics of the wool production in Anatolia from 1936-1951. It also presents a list of the types of wool produced in Anatolia which is furnished by the Turkish embassy.
