The article describes images of the city and urban life in selected films. There is particular attention paid to New York City in films, fueled by the recently released Michael Moore documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" and the premier of the patriotic documentary "America's Heart and Soul." The Tribeca Film Festival, that was held for the third year in 2004 in New York City, presented both Hollywood films and independent works featuring the city, but no longer focusing on the tragedy of 2001. |
