Abstrakt: The article discusses the fine structure of silk. The structure has many points of similarities with the many types of long-chain molecules that constitute the fibrous materials. As a protein, silk possesses the features similar to this particular group. As silk fibroin, it has some particular properties to which its individuality is due. The complete study of the fine structure of silk in relation to the properties, textile and fiber demands an extensive understanding of the physical, chemical and biological aspects of the proteins.
