Abstrakt: Reports that immunization of young animals essentially prevents the development of beta-amyloid-plaque formation, neuritic dystrophy, and astrogliosis. Reduction of the extent and progression of these Alzheimer's disease-like neuropathologies in older animals; Possibility that immunization with amyloid-beta might be effective in preventing and treating Alzheimer's disease.
