| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a summary of a report by the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) Council on Advocacy and Public Policy. The mission of this council is to facilitate coordination of APA's public policy advocacy, including federal and state legislative and regulatory matters, litigation, and the advocacy aspects of APA public affairs. The council also provides support to psychiatrists in the field and advices the Board of Trustees on pressing public policy advocacy matters and help to ensure that the Assembly is informed of major public policy initiatives. |
