The article evaluates the peer-review system of the National Science Foundation (NSF) on its bases of funding supports for the scientific research expenditures in the U.S. A sociological research was held for the National Academy of Sciences to assess the validity of public criticisms concerning the peer-review system brought in the Congressional hearings for the alleged injustices of the NSF. In as much, the result shows that NSF does not discriminate against scientists in the manner that critics have accused. |
