The article analyzes several educational journals published during 1972-1973 dealing particularly with supervision and curriculum development. According to the authors, educational journals are intended to stimulate, provoke and inform their readers in order that they may become more competent professional educators. In the analysis of the journals, the authors assessed whether these functions were fulfilled. They also examined the background of the writers and the topics they write about. The implications of the content and the level of research backing the studies published in the journals on education were also analyzed. |
