The article reports on the economic policy of Spain. There will be a surplus of one percent of gross domestic product. The Spanish government publishes its tax reform proposals in late January 2005. The prospects of the labor market regulation seem to appear bleak, as government-sponsored negotiations with employers and trade unions remain at an impasse after 10 months. The approval of regulations for the investment fund industry creates a legal framework for the operation and marketing of such funds. The negotiations on the European Union's budget for 2007-20013 reached a climax. |
