The article spotlights the Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) in Tokyo, Japan, considered as Asia's largest annual short film festival. In its 2005 edition, the festival drew several controversial entries including Victor Bellomo and David Pace's "The Spirit of Gravity" and "Rien de Grave," by Renaud Philipps. According to SSFF programming assistant Gregory Schaefer, the films initially left programmers with anxiety. For 2006, the festival is already planning a special program geared towards women. |
