Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on the preparation of elementary teachers in teaching education in the U.S. A program of experimentation in teacher preparation has been conducted at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, wherein city schools and universities have been cooperating in developing a differentiated staffing program in which student teachers in their senior years are employed by the school system as regular teaching aides. This program allows ample time to prospective teachers for both observing, teaching and being fully involved in the teaching processes. Under the operation of the program, a student teacher is required to keep a diary for the academic year to include lesson plans and their evaluations as well as experiences while teaching the varied assignments. |
