The article looks into the career of automobile racers in the U.S. In this sport, veterans find themselves being replaced by neophytes. It was observed that as some drivers get older they become less skilled due to physical deterioration. Also, young drivers seem completely fearless during racing. Cited as an example is the replacement of Gary Densham by his son-in-law Robert Hight in the sport . |
