The article presents a television screenplay writer's letter to a colleague based in Hollywood. He traces the stories behind several of his past ideas for television series. These include dramatic series on dying, on an Orthodox Jew from New York who goes to India, becomes a yogi and settles in Marin County, on ecology, on the interaction between inmates in an Arica-Esalen-type institute and about an sexagenarian Portuguese working for a bigoted young man who runs a snowmobile repair service. |
