The article focuses on the policy on peacekeeping which is discussed in the Henry J. Hyde United Nations Reform Act of 2005 submitted to the U.S. Senate on June 20, 2005. The sense of the Congress about the reform of the United Nations peacekeeping operations is discussed. The areas of the United Nations peacekeeping operations that should be reformed are outlined. It also enumerates the reforms that should be implemented by the United Nations regarding financial liability and victims assistance. |
