The article presents the case history of a 54-year-old Caucasian patient having psoriasiform cutaneous leishmaniasis. The patient stated that a lesion appeared on his right elbow approximately 9 months earlier, when he was living in the United Arab Emirates. Dermatological examination revealed the presence of an erythematous-infiltrated lesion, covered by scaling and crusts. The detailed study of this case confirms that tropical and subtropical diseases of the skin are frequently characterized by variable and atypical clinical presentations. |
