This article focuses on the outcome of science teaching based from the standpoint of psychology. It offers information about the S-R bond theory of the Thirty-First Yearbook of the National Society for the Study of Education. It discusses the following categories concerning the outcome of science teaching: a.) specific habits and motor skills; b.) knowledge which commonly referred to as facts, concepts, principles, laws and generalizations; c.) understanding and use of the scientific method; and d.) general patterns of conduct such as ideals, interests, tastes, and scientific attitudes. |
