Abstrakt: This article presents a study which examined data envelopment analysis as a method for evaluating the efficiency of U.S. Air Force fighter wings. The decision making units selected for the study were Air Force Wings which are elements of two Numbered Air Forces. Efficiency will be evaluated by reference to output and input variables which are commonly used in gauging the performance of aircraft maintenance units in these operations.
