The article focuses on the need for an efficient science teaching in elementary schools in the U.S. It was observed that what elementary students need is a functional type of science which will help elementary children to better understand the society in which they live and to help them make better personal adjustments. There is also a need for a growing separation of elementary science from an inarticulate experience connected with health teaching to a fundamental part of the curriculum. One recommendation for the improvement of elementary science is to reshape the programs designed to train teachers. |
