| Abstrakt: |
The article reports on a nationwide crisis in high school and elementary science education in the U.S. There is a feeling of desperation because the average performance of students has decreased based on the appraisal of the National Assessment of Education Progress. It is feared that the detrimental situation of the science programs could affect the production of the numbers of scientist to meet the nation's need. The fact is that the present science education is more threatening than the crisis of the past. |
