The article focuses on the condition of debt of emerging markets as of December 2005. Dedicated funds of the emerging markets have experienced outflows of U.S.$190 million in the week ending December 7 according to data from Emerging Portfolio.com. There was a decline in the external debt to real gross domestic product ratios of most emerging markets. Debt of Brazil will be paid back to the International Monetary Fund by the end of the year. |
