Abstrakt: The article focuses on the Autumn Showcase Tours for Early Care and Education program in Vermont. For many years advocates for children and families throughout the region held Dolls Day. Teachers and families flooded the halls of the legislature touting the benefits of early childhood programs and the need for legislative action to sustain them and resolve funding and staffing problems. However, over the years, such initiatives showed diminishing results. Rather than relaying on dolls to communicate the daily lives of children, advocates capitalized on the story in legislators own home districts. Research were conducted to discuss early care and education issues. They studied the effectiveness of public opinion campaign strategies in early childhood through presentations and readings. Furthermore, advocates also sponsored a forum to share materials, experiences and advice.
