Abstrakt: This article presents an analysis of students' views on science and scientists. Students are not attracted to science, and this may be influenced by their images of science which are determined by the way it is portrayed in the media. There are stereotypes which have been identified in studies using the Draw-A-Scientist Test procedure. First, the scientist is usually a male Caucasian. Second, the scientist is either bald or has frizzy, wild hair. Another is that scientist wears glasses and is dressed in a white lab coat.
