The article focuses on the discussion of topics related to the implementation of the art and architecture thesaurus (AAT) at the symposium of the Art Libraries Society of North America. Cathy Whitehead discussed the AAT structure of classes and array of terms. Murray Waddington of the Canadian Center for Architecture focused on the distinctions between indexing vocabulary, systems and policy. He also made a presentation on the uses of AAT terms in MARC applications. Editor Ted Goodman of "Avery Index" discussed the importance of in-house authority control file. |
