| Abstrakt: | The article traces the history of the book "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens. The book was first published in 1843 and since then the tale of Christmas good cheer and family feasting rekindled a Victorian interest in traditional holiday celebrations. The book has been hailed as a national institution and national benefit. It was a need for money that inspired Dickens to write the book and its popularity gave Dickens an immense satisfaction. |
