The article presents an overview of Norway. A "red-green" coalition of the Labour Party, the Socialist Left Party and the Centre Party won a majority of seats in the general election on September 12, 2005. The three parties managed to agree on a common government programme and have formed a majority government. The new government has continued to receive positive ratings following the presentation of its amended budget for 2006 on November 10th, one month after the formation of the red-green coalition. Revised national accounts data indicate that export growth has been lower this year than previously estimated. |
