Abstrakt: This article reports on the millennium development goals (MDG) that have been widely accepted as a framework for improving health and welfare worldwide. Child mortality is one of the most important and most preventable global health concerns. In many poor countries, 10-20% of children die before reaching the age of five. The child mortality MDG is to reduce the under five mortality rate by two thirds between 1990 and 2015.
