Abstrakt: This article discusses the rejection of the categories of thought of psychiatric medicine by writer Oscar Wilde, which are reflected in his literary works. Psychiatric categories are not the origin of Wilde's writing. His sources are literary, including works from Walter Pater, John Addington Symonds and others. For Wilde, speaking about masculine loves is something that happens by way of literature and philosophy. Such speech acts are enabled by an inner necessity to be able to express what is felt at the deepest levels of one's personality.
