Abstrakt: The article presents the result of the study regarding the use of polymorphism as guidance to predict blood pressure responses to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition and angiotensin II type 1 receptor (ATR) blockade in patients with hypertension conducted at the Hypertension Center, Third University Department Medicine in Athens, Greece. Responders to lisinopril in the two studies have no similarity in terms of the latter polymorphisms. The findings of the study provide no support to the hypothesis that polynorphisms could be used as guidance for predicting blood pressure responses to ACE inhibition and ATR blockade.
