This article reports that propeller-equipped tests of the Europrop International TP400-D6 turboprop are expected in January 2006. The engine reached 762hp, running at 677rpm with 7.9kNm torque without a propeller during its first run on October 28, 2005 at a facility of MTU Aero Engines in Ludwigsfelde, Germany. The first run was postponed from an original schedule of August due to sub-suppliers having problems with customer demands, capacity and delivery. |
