This article focuses on the application of the methodology virtual product design (VPD) in assessing the features of the 3220 mobile phone from Nokia. VPD is a methodology that supports heterogeneous, hardware-software prototyping. Using virtual prototypes, VPD can work with realistic product concepts throughout the product life cycle. Virtual prototypes are especially effective in facilitating communication among stakeholders along the value chain and in validating product concepts with early end-user testing. |
