This article investigates how criminal records affect the careers of professional athletes in the U.S. Football player O.J. Simpson was charged with murder in June 1994, of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Boxer Mike Tyson was convicted in 1992 of raping beauty-pageant contestant Desiree Washington. He was sentenced to ten years imprisonment. |
