This article presents information about a group of school children who transformed a diesel car into a hydrogen-powered vehicle by utilizing the solar energy. A group of students in the Environmental Technologies Club at Central High School in Phoenix, Arizona, transformed a regular car so that it runs entirely on solar energy and water. Solar panels in the back of the car capture energy from the sun. That energy is used to make hydrogen from water. The car then runs on the newly created hydrogen instead of gasoline. |
