A research study conducted at the University of Monastir in Tunisia focused on the use of a custom healing abutment to seal the socket in cases of immediate posterior implant placement. The study highlighted the importance of managing the bone gap and ensuring primary closure of the socket for successful implant integration. The research presented a case report of a 32-year-old female patient who underwent extraction of a molar and subsequent implant rehabilitation using the custom abutment technique.
