Abstrakt: |
The results of die tooling hardening technological process development aiming to tool life increase are presented. The analysis of existing methods of increasing die tool durability has shown that electro-spark alloying is the most promising, effective and affordable one. Electrodes made of WC8 alloy (WC-8%Co) were used for coating. To ensure maximum hardness of the surface layer at low roughness the energy mode of unit operation was determined. A die tooling set produced of 5CrNiMn steel was processed in the obtained mode. The processed set has been industrially tested in the conditions of operating production. It has been established that the application of electro-spark alloying technology contributed to the increase of die durability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
