The examination of the cinematic capacities of literary works has been seriously considered by researchers for nearly a decade. The novel bears a striking resemblance to the screenplay, and most cinematic adaptations are based on novels. Youssef Zeidan is among the writers whose novels exhibit many visual capabilities for adaptation in cinema. In the present study, an attempt has been made to analyze the text of the story Fardkan: Sheikh in Prison using a descriptive-analytical method and an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on the three-act structure of Syd Field and cinematic form. Our goal in this research is to explore the structure and content of the mentioned novel and to demonstrate its adaptation aspects from various angles. The results of this research indicate that this novel, due to its cinematic structure, attention to detail, scene setting, and dramatic dialogues, as well as its sequencing capabilities, possesses ample potential for cinematic adaptation and screenplay writing.
