In Pakistan, women's employment has increased due to inflation. Now it is the requirement for both parents to work to meet both ends subsequently they have limited family time. Traditionally women are considered as homemakers, this transition from housewives to professional women has put dual responsibilities on working mothers. This study is an effort to investigate the challenges working mothers encounter in harmonizing their responsibilities both as professionals and in motherhood. A quantitative approach was used, and a survey questionnaire was designed for mothers employed at schools in the district of East Karachi. The data was collected from 150 working mothers. The recorded data was analyzed by SPSS. With percentage frequency, descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. The data analysis of this study revealed emotional and time-management stress and financial pressures, despite hectic work routines working mothers manage time to assist their children in their academic assignments and keep themselves updated and informed about their children's academic progress. The findings of this study recommended that policymakers should provide mental and well-being awareness facilities and improve their organizational skills by facilitating the execution of time management workshops and training programs, encouraging the development of budgeting skills, and supporting financial planners and support networks such as government programs or community resources to overcome financial constraints.
