In this study manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4) nanoparticles were synthesized using a simple co-precipitation method. The nanocomposite was designed to achieve a cubic spinel structure with particle sizes between 21-35 nm, confirmed through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The magnetic properties, investigated using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), shows the superparamagnetic behavior. The optical band gap was found by quantum size effects, by UV-Vis spectroscopy. This nanocomposite shows potential applications in magnetic and magneto-optical recording devices because of its optimized magnetic and optical properties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
