Abstrakt: The article discusses the impact of defects on the fatigue behavior of S960 steel with laser cladded protective layers. The study involves tomographic measurements to determine geometric parameters of defects and their influence on fatigue behavior. Different surface layers were applied to the steel samples, and the results of three-point bending tests were analyzed to assess the effect of defects on fatigue parameters. The research highlights the importance of understanding the role of internal defects in surface layers and at the bi-material interface in determining the fatigue behavior of components.
