Indoor air quality can affect a person's health, especially if there is insufficient air entering the room. Good indoor air quality is supported by the ventilation systems, an opening system, a room design and form, and pollutant management. This research aimed to evaluate the opening system in each room of office building related to air flow pollutants presented by CO2 concentration and then compares it to the Indonesia National Standard (SNI). Furthermore, the recommendation of suitable opening design will be given by considering the number of people that occupy in each room. The method that used in this research were field measurement/observation, calculation, and comparison with SNI. The result showed that from 22 rooms, 9 rooms (40.91%) did not meet the SNI of airflow and 13 room (59.01%) eligible compared to SNI. The CO2 concentration were appropriately good in each room that mean still in a safe level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
