A recent study conducted at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Saudi Arabia examined the impact of shade selection on prosthodontic outcomes, comparing the awareness and knowledge of dental students and practitioners. The study found that there is a concerning gap in awareness and knowledge regarding shade selection among dental students compared to practitioners. The research highlighted the need for enhanced educational training programs focusing on shade selection techniques to improve prosthodontic outcomes. The study involved 554 participants and concluded that age, gender, and education level significantly impact knowledge and practice in shade selection within the field of dentistry.
