Technology integration in education has enhanced accessibility, engagement and customisation in the teaching and learning process. Schools and universities have recognised the significance of technology adoption for augmenting the quality of education. Smart technology has significantly transformed education's physical and philosophical landscape by creating intellectual campuses devised to address the growing demands of learners and faculty, which will empower students to accomplish their anticipated performance levels. Digital tools in schools have become necessary, and educational institutions are increasingly adopting technologies as a differentiator. The smart technology intervention manages learners' cognitive load, which renders increased effectiveness and efficacy. Teachers move ahead of traditional pedagogical practices and converge new methods of instruction, which encompass the personalisation of content and the use of interactive technology. The paper reviews the significance of embedding smart technology in education. Also, it explores the new possibilities, opportunities and challenges that have always been of strategic relevance for education policymakers and the stakeholders of the education system.
