Researchers from Tanta University in Egypt conducted a study to develop a risk-prediction nomogram for in-hospital adverse cardiovascular events (ACVE) in patients with acute cardiotoxic agent poisoning. The study included 186 patients and found that ACVE occurred in 36% of them, with significant associations with ICU admission and mortality. The nomogram created by the researchers could predict ACVE with 89.2% accuracy, regardless of the causative agent, showcasing its potential for improving patient prognosis.
