Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at University Hospital Bellvitge in Catalonia, Spain, focused on the effectiveness of endoscopic ultrasound-guided biliary rendezvous (EUS-RV) in cases of failed biliary cannulation. The study included 69 patients with benign and malignant biliopancreatic disorders, showing a technical/overall success rate of 79.7%/74% and an adverse events rate of 24%. The research suggested that EUS-RV may be more successful in benign cases compared to malignant cases, with EUS-guided transmural drainage (TMD) showing better outcomes in malignant disorders.
