Abstrakt: Researchers from the University of Heidelberg conducted a study on the impact of scan speed on quantitative vascular parameters using Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA). The study found that higher scan speeds resulted in reduced acquisition time but also lower vessel density and vessel length density in both the superficial and deep vascular plexus. Further research is needed to understand these changes in eyes with pathology. The findings were published in Scientific Reports and can be accessed for free online. [Extracted from the article]
