Abstrakt: A report from Montpellier SupAgro discusses the development of on-farm arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) inoculum production for sustainable agriculture in Senegal. The research aims to reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers by integrating mycorrhizal fungi into agricultural practices to improve plant productivity. The study found that peanut shells were a successful alternative substrate for mycorrhizal fungi production, with Glomus aggregatum IR27 showing the best mycorization characteristics. The research suggests that this technology could be scaled up nationally in Senegal, offering a sustainable solution for agriculture. [Extracted from the article]
