A study conducted at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, examined antinuclear antibody (ANA) staining patterns in childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. The research found that the AC-4/5 (fine or large speckled) pattern was the most common nuclear ANA pattern, while the AC-19 (dense fine speckled) pattern was the most frequently detected cytoplasmic ANA pattern. The study concluded that further research with larger populations is needed to verify these results. [Extracted from the article] |
