The article discusses the challenges of accessing Pediatric Palliative Care (PPC) in Brazil due to uneven distribution of services across the country. A recent mapping effort revealed that many services lack a minimum team, face difficulties accessing opioids, and do not provide bereavement care. The research emphasizes the need for more services with better distribution, a minimum team for adequate care, and strategies to improve symptom control and grief support. Health service managers are urged to address these issues effectively, and continuing education and relevant topics in health courses are deemed necessary for improvement.
