A recent study from the University of Catania in Italy focused on diffuse midline glioma (DMG), H3 K27-altered, a malignant brain tumor primarily found in midline structures like the thalamus and brainstem. The research reviewed cases of adult H3 K27-altered DMG from 2010 to 2023, highlighting clinical parameters and features. The study found that adult H3 K27-altered DMG is more common in males aged 18-40, with the thalamus being the most affected site, and exhibiting less aggressive behavior compared to pediatric cases.
