Abstrakt: | A study conducted by researchers at Abdelmalek Essaadi University in Morocco focused on the concentration and distribution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and organic matter pollution in sediments from Al Hoceima Bay on the Mediterranean coast. The research found 18 types of PAHs with varying concentrations, indicating potential health risks, especially through dermal contact. The study suggests the need for continued monitoring to minimize human exposure to PAHs in the region. This information could serve as a reference for future investigations and policy-making regarding sediment-water quality and economic activities along the Moroccan Mediterranean coast.
