The period 1930-1936 represented a turning point for European and world politics, with events of crucial importance for the world geopolitical scene. It was a period when grievances, resentments and desires for revenge began to surface, as memories of the horrors of the Great War began to fade. The world was ready for a new global massacre. Romania tries to secure its borders with the help of its great French ally and the security system devised by France. After the unfair tratment that the small Central and Eastern European countrys were subjected at the Paris Conference, at the end of the war, and after the time in which they tried to find a place in the new security system, they discover that the safety and guarantee offered by the great victorious powers are no more than mere words, France and Great Britain having seriuos doubts, including regarding their own safety.
